The Environmental Planning Group was established in Barbados in 1984 by the founding partners, Geoffrey M. Ramsey and Deborah Riven. It has the distinction of being the first local firm to provide consultancy services both locally and regionally in landscape architecture, land use planning, environmental design, sustainable tourism development, property development and project management. Mr. Ramsey is principal consultant with responsibility for regional operations. Ruth Durant-Sobers, an honours graduate of Harvard University, joined the firm in 1998 and is currently the senior architect/ planner on staff. |

In addition to a wide range of physical planning and development projects in the private sector, the Environmental Planning Group has been engaged in feasibility studies for the Government of Barbados funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Caribbean Development Bank.

We collaborate with international, regional and local consortiums of chartered town planners, scientists, architects, engineers and real estate developers on projects in both urban and rural environments. |
